i get bad lips because i lick mine alot. The best cure to remove dryness and flakiness is to make a small paste with a little bit of plain sugar, brown sugar and olive oil. Get it on the end of your finger and rub it in circulur motion on your lips for a couple of minutes (not too hard) the olive oil really moisterizers your mouth. Gently wipe off the residue when you are finished and put on a think layer of Lucus's paw paw ointment (magic in a tube!). Do all of this of a night time, right before you go to bed. That way the lib balm will stay on and slowly soak into your lips. Also throughout the day carry around a good lipbalm preferrably with sunscreen/sheabutter/cocobutter..ones similar like that. This is the best routine to live by! give it a try you wont be dissappointed. Hope this helps :)

Also before you go to bed grab a face washer and scrub your lips (not to hard though) then put some lip balm on and place a warm face washer on your lips for about 5 mins (keeping the washer warm but refreshing it in warm water)
Keep using a really good lipbalm with beeswax in it.....or massage one drop of pure warm almond oil on your lips everyday...it has to be natural almond oil not adulterated.....also when lips go dry you tend to lick them...that will only dry your lips furthur

How do you get Smooth, Soft lips?

Whenever I use my lipgloss my lips get super soft and smooth, which is how everyone's is I'm guessing, but when I don't have any on my lips are cracked and dry. Not super cracked or anything, but sometimes it gets bad. Now I heard Vaseline might do the trick, but I haven't really tried it...How do you use it?

this is sort of an addition to the sugar scrub thing (if you don't mind a small mess). what you do is mix sugar and honey together until it is pasty , and then put it on your lips. rub your lips together or scrub your lips with your finger, and then wash off. this exfoliates and smoothes better than just sugar and water, and you can keep this mixture in a small jar to use every week or so. good luck!How do you get Smooth, Soft lips?
Sugar exfoliation is great for dry lips.


All you need is sugar and water.


Take a few pinches of sugar and put it in a bowl. Add drops of water until the sugar becomes a paste. Slather the mixture on your lips and rub them together. Rinse it off, and apply chapstick.


This technique removes the old skin from your lips, and tastes great.





Vaseline will work similarly to chapstick. All you have to do it scoop a little on your finger, and run it into your lips.





It really all about the moisturizing for soft, kissable lips!
Vaseline does actually work...put it on just like chapstick before you goto bed...[except you have to get some on your finger, from the container it's in]..and in the morning ytour lips will be soft!!





And applying chapstick often throughout the day will get them in good shape too!!
Yesss! Okay before going to bed make sure all of your make up is off your face and lips it's really important and it's healthy. Mix sugar and water together making a paste, and scrub very lightly on your lips then rinse off, you're lips will be smooth and kissable! :)

Put Vaseline on your lips and the surrounding area right before you go to bed. That should do the trick.
both vaseline and neosporan work great if you put some on every night before bed :)

But the best way to get soft lips is to exfoliate them, just like the skin on your face/body.





What I do is mix some honey and sugar together and then rub that on my lips, it makes my lips nice and soft, and helps keep them moisturized at the same time.

well i have really big lips , and i guess they are soft, i use beauty rush lip gloss you could try that, or use a spf kind it makes ur lips really soft and mostrized
Try not to lick your lips and drink plenty of water
apply a lip balm or petroleum jelly. I do that sometimes even before going to sleep at night. You will find your lips soft the next day. Carmex is good.
put vaseline on a tooth brush and scrub for 30 seconds
This sounds dicky, but get a wet toothbrush and brush your lips, gently ofcourse, (as this gets all the dry skin or whatever is on your lips off), and apply chapstick on afterwards and you should have nive smooth lips!

I suggest Burt's Bees honey balm or the replenishing balm. I like the replenishing balm better, it's soft and very moisturizing! It gives your lips a very subtle pinkish red tint. its so subtle though that you may not see it. You can buy a really small jar in the baby section that is toteable and will fit in your purse, pocket, or car. They have the kind that come in tubes but that's like a jelly type it doesn't work the same as the kind in the jars.
Aw! That sucks.





For now, apply Vaseline or pop a few Vitamin E capsules and apply the liquid to your lips and put Vaseline over it.





At night, put vegetable oil on your lips.





Use a sun protectant on your lips, like Softlips, which has an SPF of 15.
I have the same problem and I'm a guy. Best thing is like he said drink water regularly. Use blistex during the day if they get dry. And at night before you go to bed use vaseline. It shouldn't take but a few days for your lips to go back to soft lusciousness.

Mary Kay has a Satin Lips set. The lip mask gently exfoliates dead skin cells and the lip balm moisturizes for up to 6 hours and can be purchased separately. Most lip balms in the store have a drying agent in them that dries out your lip balms so you have to keep using it and buying more. The Mary Kay lip balm is pricey, but it should last you at least 6 months.
Try Burt's Bees. They have really good ones, some even with tint. It does have a little bit of a ';tingle'; when you use it. Some may not like that.
Vaseline...put it on at night and over your lipstick during the day. Keeps lips soft and smooth, shiny too and it's inexpensive!

Mary Kay satin lips well worth the price ( in the long run you save money) it is a mask and a balm. You use the mask occasionally and from someone who was addicted to blistex ( had one in every room of the house, pocket and you name it) now I only use the balm before i go to bed.

or you could also try blistex silk and shine. its wonderful and you get alovely sheen from it.

Chapstick Moisturizer (the one that comes in blue packaging) simply moisturizes your lips. It's cheap and handy and even goes well under lipstick.
