Does applying lip balm all the time really make your lips softer and smoother?

Also, do you know any ways to make your lips soft and smooth. I want to make them look good for school starting up soon. Any tips and tricks are welcomed. Thanks a lot.Does applying lip balm all the time really make your lips softer and smoother?
Mix a teaspoon of sugar into a table spoon of honey.

It should only be a small blob as you only need it for your lips! Carefully rub the two ingredients together making sure that the sugar doesn't dissolve.

Apply this paste onto your toothbrush and brush your LIPS.

Brush your lips until they're pink and feel tender and smooth.

Do this continually until you achieve the lip smoothness you want.

This is when, and only when, a lip balm can become effective. If your lips are dry and chapped, the lip balm's wax will get caught in the grooves of the flakes (gross!) rendering the product completely useless.

With smooth lips, the wax acts as a silicone filler to keep up the moisture and smoothness on the surface of your lips!

Hope this helped, I usually do this regimen through out winter too - when my lips are up against the elements!Does applying lip balm all the time really make your lips softer and smoother?
i would have to say yes. when your lips are unprotected they are more damaged by the elements and keeping them protected and hydrated will keep them healthy. i would recommend a lip balm with petroleum in it - it lasts longer.

a tip for smoothing them is to use a clean soft-bristled toothbrush and gently rub them with it, nmaybe every other day. alot of companies also make lip scrubs - mary kay has the best.

make sure your lip balm has sunscreen in it too.
Burts Bees for softness and a kissable look

Chapstick for chapped lips (and they probably make your lips taste good! ;)

combine and you get soft good tasting lips, perf for kissing
