I saw this in a magazine years ago, and it really works. I do it pretty frequently.
Take and old soft toothbrush (or a new one if you prefer), dip it in Vaseline (yep, it's the best), and gently scrub the Vaseline across your lips. The toothbrush exfoliates all of the dead skin, and the vaseline moisturizes. You get soft and smooth almost immediately. Bonus: your lips are a bit rosy afterwards.

I saw this in a magazine years ago, and it really works. I do it pretty frequently.
Take and old soft toothbrush (or a new one if you prefer), dip it in Vaseline (yep, it's the best), and gently scrub the Vaseline across your lips. The toothbrush exfoliates all of the dead skin, and the vaseline moisturizes. You get soft and smooth almost immediately. Bonus: your lips are a bit rosy afterwards.
wet your lips, put some sugar on it and scrub (with your finger or toothbrush but honestly the toothbrush hurts a bit). After your done doing that, put some Blistex medicated on. Works like a charm...especially in winter.

I have cracked lips that bleed all the time...I wanted to no if there is anything i can do to make my lips soft and uncracked?How do I make my lips soft???

This may sound too simple but VASELINE does miracles.
Stop using lip products for 2 or 3 days. Just apply VASELINE when ever you can't feel the VASELINE on your lips anymore. It will work.
After they are all better wear whatever you like on your lips but use VASELINE when your at home or at night.

But, don't scrub too hard, you'll probably crack your lips again...The toothbrush is how I exfoliate my lips, but I've never had much problems with cracked lips, so I hope it helps!

If I could work at Burt's Bees I would. They have great products. Their lip products are great as well. If you can, try and get a lip product that has some type of peppermint in it. Good luck!

Okay, after you brush your teeth run your toothbrush under warm water and gently rub it against your lips. This works as a sort of exfoliating process and removes dry skin. Don't do it too often or too hard because your lips will get all sensitive!
Then apply a nice lip moisturizer. I like burts bees! It's great. Apply it frequently.

One thing that works really well for me is to take a bath and dump a good amount of honey and milk in it with a few drops of lavender oil and just lay for a little while. No worries, the water won't make your skin sticky.

How do you soft kissable lips?
To get rid of flaky, rough lips, mix 1/2 tsp brown sugar (or regular but brown works best) and 1/4 tsp olive oil (to soften the lips). Apply to your lips with your finger and rub gently to get rid of excess skin. Then take a toothbrush and gently scrub your lips. Apply Bert's Beeswax Chapstick (my favorite) after and there you go!

Vaseline and sunscreen.
Mix a tad bit on sunscreen into the Vaseline and put it on your lips.

pumice and exfoliate your skin/hands like CRAZY. trust me i started doing that when i was 12, i am 20 now and sometimes i forget that i naturally have dry skin. use tons of lotion and always have hand lotion on you in your purse. as for your lips do not pumice or exfoliate them or bite at them, put massive amounts of blistex medicated on them or burts bee's chap stick and keep applying tons of it through out the course of like 5 days and your lips will be good as new again. then just apply chap stick daily to maintain your soft lips. trust me i swear by this i get compliments all the time on my skin/hands and lip. :)
not sure about lips but i know a great one for hands. Make a mixture of about 2 parts salt and 1 part olive oil. Stir it together so it goes sort of gritty, then rub it into your hands. Wash it off with water and your hands will feel AMAZING! you don't need too much. At the most about 1 teaspoon of oil and two of salt, but probably less than that. If your lips are dry, use an old, clean toothbrush and gently brush off the dry skin. Then apply vaseline, or lip balm.
DON'T brush too hard though!
Before putting any chapstick or lip gloss on...when you are brushing your teeth take the tooth brush and softly brush over your lips. That will ';scratch'; off any dead skin. Then put on minimal amount of gloss.
I use a lip exfoliating treatment from Mary Kay. Besides, piling on lip gloss isn't even good for your lips unless you remove it. Doing that could lead to more dead skin on the lips, and it could also clog pores around the mouth, causing painful zits.

2.Exfoliate your lips every three days to get rid of dead skin cells and to smooth your lips.
3.Make a point of applying a good plumping lip balm every evening before you go to sleep and in the morning when you wake up. Isabella Pelle makes a great one.
4.For a truly luscious pout, place a teabag in hot water and seep. Remove the teabag and let the water cool. Place it on your lips for about three minutes and your lips will be amazingly soft.
5.To make lips appear larger, apply a small amount of shimmery, white shadow above the cupid's bow of your lips. In addition to that, when applying lip-liner, go slightly outside of your natural lip line. Don't go overboard, it will make you look whorish, but just a little bit will make your lips look bigger. When choosing the right lip liner for you, make sure it is the same color as your natural lip color, or a slightly darker color.
6.Keep a lip balm in your bag and use it when necessary.
7.Wear lip-gloss or a lush lipstick to enhance your pout, and reapply frequently.

How can I get soft/nude/pale lips?
I have naturally red lips and my lips get easily chapped so they look even redder and it does not look good. I want soft nude/pale lips.
I just started to use coverup and I love the way it looks but I read that it will dry out my lips and it also doesn't stay on long.
My mum got 2 shades of nude lipstick but it doesn't seem to work. It doesn't make my lips look nude at all. Any suggestions on what lipstick to buy or anything that can help? thanks :DHow can I get soft/nude/pale lips?

That's the same thing with me too so I just use foundation/ coverup, I love the pale-lip look.
It shouldn't dry out your lips if youre using liquid coverups. If it ever does dry out though, all you need is some chapstick and you'll be fine! If you want it to stay on long, just make sure you put quite a bit of it on your lips or just re-apply it whenever you can. Also, getting a lighter color of foundation may work better too.
maybelline wetshine diamonds has a really pale lipstick, it looks sort of pearly pink, can't recall name.

after like exfoliating your lips with an old toothbrush n warm water, mix some clear lip balm on your hand, with some liquid concealer and dab it onto your lips.
then blot it with a tissue, and then dab a little bit more on.

I actually use the Wet n' Wild 666 color lip liner all over my lips (99 cents), after applying lip balm. For lip balm, I love Avon or Blistex in the dark green container.
Then blot the lip liner.
Then I add a white frost ';lemony'; frosted gloss over the top, also from Avon. It's in a small squirt tube. Smells great. Then I blot that and voila! For some odd reason this combination looks the most natural and is the softest. Rub smooth the surface with your pinky. Good luck!

Then, before going to bed coat them with a thin layer of plain old vaseline and they will be really soft in the morning.

TRY ALOT OF COLOUR BEFORE STICKING TO A PARTICULAR TYPE
